

Jerry Vernon Terry was born October 11, 1945, in Burnet, Texas to Ernest “Nod” Terry and Margie Dunn. He was baptized in 1964 by Max Coupland at First Baptist Church in Marble Falls. He was confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at St. Paul Lutheran Church by Pastor Albert Jessie in Austin, Texas.
Jerry was united in marriage to Evelyn Noack on June 24, 1967, at St. Paul Lutheran Church by Pastor Albert Jessie. Their marriage was blessed with one daughter.
Jerry graduated from Marble Falls High School and worked as an Austin Fireman for the first years of his career. He left the fire department and went to work for Southwestern Bell in 1969 and retired in 1999 from AT&T after 30 years. He and Evelyn had co-owned a lumber company, Campion Lumber Company. Jerry loved life and was happiest hunting, fishing, attending the grandkids events and spending time with his family and friends. He truly never met a stranger and loved talking with others. Jerry will be best remembered for his warm heart and love for life, and love for his family.
Jerry joined his Heavenly Father on June 19, 2025, surrounded by family and friends in Leander at the age of 79. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Ronnie Terry and Ernest Terry Jr.; sisters, Terrell Arms and Esther LaVern “Janie” Terry.
He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Terry of Leander; his daughter and son in law, Tiffany and John Phillips of Round Rock; granddaughter, Cassandra Phillips of San Diego; grandson Justin Phillips of Round Rock; sister, Ernestine Smith of Normangee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be Justin Phillips, Murray Rattray, Jerry Hoskins, Ken Kurio, Floyd Kurio, Daryl Noack, and honorary pallbearer Perry Hale.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Wednesday, June 25th from 5:30PM until 8:00PM, at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 1200 S. Bagdad, Leander, Texas 78641.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 26th at 10:00AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 700 W. Whitestone Blvd, Cedar Park, Texas 78613. Burial services will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 700 W. Whitestone, Cedar Park, Texas 78613 in Jerrys' name.
