Mr. John Allen Rueth

John graduated from Suitland High School and went on to have a remarkable career that included working as a Communications Specialist at the White House during the administrations of Presidents Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter. In the early 1980's, John made Texas his home, where he began a long and successful career as an Insurance Adjuster with Farmers Insurance. After more than 25 years of dedicated service, he retired.

However, Retirement didn't keep John from doing what he enjoyed. He later worked as a golf club fitter at Golf Galaxy combining his love of golf and his passion for helping others find the right equipment for their game.

John appreciated the simple pleasures in life. He loved playing golf, watching sports, and enjoying a great movie and settling in to read a good suspenseful book. He was very excited to see his grandson play baseball. He had a particular appreciation for fast cars and dining at some of his favorite restaurants. These moments brought him immense happiness and many wonderful memories throughout his life.

His sense of humor, laughter, kindness and friendship touched the lives of so many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is preceded in death by his mother Helen Louise Rueth; his father, John Harold Rueth; his brother, Jesse Rueth; and his sister, May Davis.

He is survived by his daughter Marilyn Van Blokland, her husband Chad Van Blokland and his grandson Sean Van Blokland; and his son, Joshua Tavakoli and his granddaughter, Emberson Tavakoli.

John leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity and love that will continue to thrive through his family and friends.

Rest peacefully Dad. You were deeply loved and will be cherished in our hearts forever.
