Lawrence Dale Harper was born September 3, 1957 in Salina, Kansas, the son of Roland and Ellen (Clark) Harper. He passed from this life March 28, 2022 in Austin, Texas at the age of 64. Lawrence had lived in Leander since 2010, moving here from East Texas. He was the General Manager for Great Hills Country Club, a member of the PGA and the Lone Star Chapter of Club Managers Association of America. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing pool, playing the guitar and studying the history of the Bible. Lawrence was a member of the Rock Bridge United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening and maintained a beautiful manicured lawn. Lawrence also loved Star Trek and spending time with his family and friends. He and Francine Howard were united in marriage October 11, 1987 in Granbury, Texas.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Ellen Harper and a brother, Craig Harper. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Francine; children, Bobby Young and wife Stephanie, Ayla Villareal and husband Travis and Christopher Harper and wife Cara; grandchildren, Alyssa, Marissa, Larry "Rollie", Bryce, Sophia, and Jeramy; sister, Lynn Gee and husband Elden and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Larry's name to Austin Hospice Christopher House, where Larry spent his last few days being surrounded by family and friends, or First Tee Greater Austin, a program Larry loved and supported.
