Linda Sue Jeffreys Stinnett passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on October 28, 2025 in Cedar Park, Texas. She was born in Rochelle, Texas on December 1, 1948 to Rosalee and Willie Jeffreys. She graduated from Rochelle High School in 1967 and then went to college in Abilene at Texas Christian University majoring in Art.
Linda was a devoted wife and mother. She married Jim Russell Stinnett in 1970 and remained married for 45 years before his passing in 2015. Linda was a loving and supportive mother to Russell Shawn Stinnett and Sarah Kathleen Stinnett Cassizzi, as well as her step-son, Jeff Stinnett. She loved her son in-law, Russell Cassizzi and daughter in-law Alexis Alexander as she would love her own children. She was known as Nana to her grandchildren Sean and Kris Cassizzi, and Morgan and Jenna Stinnett. She had 5 siblings Shirley, Maxine, Barbara, Marvin, and Margie whom she remained close with throughout their lives.
Linda loved art of any kind. She was a very talented artist and pursued it throughout her life. She crafted prize-winning porcelain dolls from casting the slip to sewing the clothes. At a very young age, she learned to crochet everything from doilies to afghans from her mother. Linda created beautiful afghans and quilts for friends, family, and children in need throughout her life. Her work in visual arts spanned from simple pencil drawing, to various colored pencils, and oil painting. Her brother Marvin and Bob Ross were heroes in this regard.
Linda was a self-taught pianist and had a deep love for classical music, particularly the strings. As an adult, she was finally able to fulfil a lifelong dream to play the Violin and the Cello. We celebrate the diverse, if sometimes challenging, life of an amazing and caring mother and wife.
The memorial service will be held at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home at 1200 S Bagdad Rd., Leander, Tx 78641 on November 1, 2025 at 2pm. Internment following at a future date at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
