March 10, 1979 - June 29, 2020
Despite his rough exterior, cutting remarks, sarcastic jokes and Irish stubbornness, there is much evidence that our Mike was a loving, giving and caring person - a big teddy bear, in fact. That evidence is the deep sorrow, pain and huge hole left in the hearts of all who knew him.
Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Michael McAdams, told his last joke, which cannot be reprinted here, at home on June 29, 2020. He went to his heavenly home at the young age of 41. Although our hearts cannot possibly understand why he was taken from us so soon, we recognized God’s sovereignty and perfect plan. We lovingly place Mike in His tender care.
Mike was born in Fort Worth, Texas, raised in Leander, Texas and graduated from Leander High School. He owned a construction and irrigation business and there was truly nothing he could not build, as the many friends, family and strangers he helped would attest to. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, golfing, hanging out with buddies, a good shot of whiskey and a nice cigar from time to time. He was the kind of man who made everyone feel like he was their best friend. He loved the Lord and was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Leander, where he first met and proposed to the love of his life.
Mike is preceded in death by grandparents Ray and Ruth McGuire, grandparents Roger and Jean McAdams, and uncles Danny McGuire and Bobby McAdams.
He leaves behind wife, Erica, their children, Nate, Brendan, Michael and Presley, his parents Mike McAdams and Candice McGuire-McAdams, sisters Elizabeth McAdams and Jessica McAdams-Choate and husband Jon Choate, parents in law John and Renee Morgan and Skip and Sharon Dunivant, sister in law Ashley Bishop, niece Avery Choate, nephews, Landon Choate and Carter Bishop, cousin Makenna McGuire-Wood and numerous other family and friends.

We appreciate your understanding as we try our best to accommodate all who loved Mike and want to honor him and his life during this trying health crisis.
