A longtime resident of Leander, Texas, Nick was a cherished son, brother, devoted husband, loving father, uncle, coworker, and friend whose presence brought warmth and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had the biggest and fullest heart, always putting family first and creating lasting memories with those he loved most. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Nick was a proud graduate of Sinton High School, Class of 1991, and carried with him throughout his life the values of hard work, loyalty, and dedication that defined his character.
Nick found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman who loved spending time outdoors and creating memories with family and friends. A loyal fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Houston Astros, he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams. He especially enjoyed relaxing in his beloved Man Cave, a place where stories were shared, laughter was abundant, and family and friends always felt welcome.
In addition to his dedication to his family, Nick was a proud and devoted employee of RDO Equipment, where he dedicated 14 years of service. He genuinely loved his work and took great pride in being part of the RDO family. Throughout his career, Nick demonstrated an unmatched work ethic, loyalty, and commitment.
He worked closely with his boss, Dean Jones, whom he respected greatly, and was known for his true dedication, dependability, and willingness to give his best every day. His coworkers and friends at RDO knew him as a hardworking, trustworthy, and valued member of the team.
Nick is survived by his loving wife, Brandi Lynn Hernandez; his daughters, Brianna Nicole Hernandez and Nikki (Nikki C.) Hernandez; his son, Nathan Jeremy Hernandez; his mother, Erma Martinez Hernandez; his sisters, Sandra Martinez-Hernandez and Sharon (Raymond) Serna; and his nephew, Jeremy N. (Randi) Carranza. He also leaves behind many extended family members, coworkers, and dear friends who will miss him dearly.
Nick was preceded in death by his father, Nicolas V. Hernandez Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Nicolas Hernandez Sr. and Elena V. Hernandez; and his maternal grandparents, Jose G. Martinez and Silvina G. Martinez.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in knowing that Nick's legacy of love, kindness, dedication, and devotion will live through the many lives he touched. Whether as a son, brother, husband, father, employee, coworker, or friend, Nick gave his whole heart to the people and things he cared about most.
The memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared so freely will remain in our hearts forever.
