Roger lived a full and interesting life. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, and at an important turning point, he made the decision to get sober—a commitment he carried with him for the rest of his life. Through his own experience with recovery, he was able to help and inspire many others, most importantly his two sons. Roger also valued education and, despite not having graduated from high school, returned to school later in life and went on to earn his master’s degree.
He had a successful career as an executive with Anheuser-Busch and later enjoyed teaching at the university level. Roger was a lifelong learner who valued education, hard work, and the opportunity to share what he had learned with others
Roger was married to Marguerite Gavin Brzezinski for 49 years. Together they built a family and shared many years of life together. He was a proud father and grandfather.
Roger was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed following Wisconsin sports teams. He loved watching the games and sharing his enthusiasm for his favorite teams with family and friends. The opportunity to see a Brewers, Badgers and Packers game on the same weekend with his sons was an experience and memory he cherished.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Gavin Brzezinski, and his son, Craig Brzezinski.
He is survived by his son, Cary Brzezinski; daughters-in-law Jamie Brzezinski and April Brzezinski; and his six grandchildren, Morgan, Gavin, Adyson, Lawson, Smith, and Ryan.
Roger will be remembered by his family for his perseverance, his many accomplishments, his sense of humor, his love of Wisconsin sports, and the experiences and lessons he shared over the years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Go Pack Go!
