Rosalie Marie Orr
June 1, 1938 – September 14, 2019
Rosalie Marie Orr, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, entered into Heaven’s gates on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
She was born in Hancock, Maryland on June 1, 1938, to Olan and Pearl Creek. Rosalie married Ivan Orr, Sr. on December 8, 1956, in Granbury, Texas. They shared 37 years together, and five children.
Rosalie was a homemaker, and after raising her children, she enjoyed the fellowship of going to weekly Women’s Ministry at the First Assembly of God Church in Luling, Texas. In the Women’s Ministry, she enjoyed and loved participating in Bible studies, fellowship meals, and quilting. She loved to sing and singing in the church choir on Sundays brought her tremendous joy. Rosalie was a born again Christian and loved Jesus. She read her Bible faithfully and was a devoted prayer warrior, not just for family and friends, but for anyone who needed prayer.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ivan Orr, Sr., her first-born son Randy Orr, and two great-grandsons Wesley Maldonado and Trystin Schuster. Rosalie is survived by her children: Terry Orr, Ivan (Butch) Orr, Jr and his wife Rose Orr, Teresa Hajovsky and her husband Michael Hajovsky, Randy Orr, II and his wife Keri Orr. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cindy Orr for the care, love and support she gave our mom during her last years in Luling. We also want to thank her nurses and caregivers at New Hope Manor Nursing Home for taking care of our mom this past year especially Christina, Gail and Cynthia. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m., at the Family Worship Center in Luling, Texas. Celebration of her life will follow at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow the service at Ussery Cemetery, Luling, Texas.
Services are provided by Weed-Corley-Fish Leander, Texas. Friends and family are invited to join us for a pot-luck reception following graveside services at the Family Worship Center.

I can still see you sitting in your recliner working on a crossword puzzle as I pass by the back bedroom. I loved our conversations and our morning Matlock marathons when you would come visit. The way you were so excited to share new gospel songs with us is something I'll always remember. You always talked about heaven and how you were excited for the house God had built for you. I miss you so much already but I know your enjoying your new house and singing for God everyday. I will always love you momo, until we meet again.

I will always remember going by the church on the days the ladies met to have lunch and quilt. Rosalie was such a precious lady, always faithful and kind. I am blessed to have known her. She will see my sweet mom there and they will love meeting again. Heaven is another saint sweeter.

What can I say other than this doesn't seem real? I am going to miss chatting with you and visiting you. I will always cherish our road trips to Austin, the Dollar General, to Sonic for your hamburger, and just driving around and talking. I'll never forget how you got me in trouble over moon pies, helping you recover from surgeries or illnesses, listening to you give us your own personal sermons you wrote, and having a good cup of coffee together. Life will be so different without you, but more special because you were here and showed us what a terrific granny you were. Thank you for all the prayers, love and laughter. I love you from Earth to Heaven!
