My deepest condolences to my cousin Debra and family on the loss of her loving husband Bill. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person I wanted to express how sorry I am to hear of his passing.  May he rest in eternal peace.

Bill was a heck of an RV driver and he loved his wife and family very dearly and took care of everybody he should rest in peace and God bless his family

Bill and Debbie have been like family to us. I will miss Bill's friendship with a lot of fun memories. We shared so many good times fishing,  golfing, and a wonderful trip to Pensacola, Florida. Bill will be missed by family and friends. Love and prayers to Debbie, Chris and Ashley.

Debra, I was so fortunate to have been a part of your beautiful wedding forty-six years ago. I knew
as soon  as you introduced "Bill" and me that you had chosen your soul mate, a bright,hard working,
generous , gentleman who would love you forever. May the

Bailey was my first engineer to work with at BASF.  We both had the same boss Mr. Frank Little in the Engineering Group.  I learned soooo very much from him and count him as a blessing for my long, long career at BASF.  I will never forget Bill as a super great teacher, Dad, husband and most of all co-worker. May he rest in peace.

I came to know Bill  at BASF in 2009. What I didn't know at the time was that he had already been advocating for my transferring from Ciba over to BASF to work with him as part of the acquisition. He was finally successful in 2010, and I joined him in Freeport.

While I was already familiar with the project management software from my previous work, Bill made it clear that I wasn't familiar with it “his way”. And as we prepared for the first of many of the classes we were to teach together, his simple instruction to me was,  “Don't say anything.”

As part of a system upgrade in 2012 that we were responsible for supporting, Bill saw an opportunity for a significant improvement for the project managers he was supporting. Bill devised an algorithm to simplify the capitalization process, and shave hours off the effort required for them to complete their projects. Once the new program was developed and we were ready to roll it out, Bill realized that the best way to introduce it was to directly demonstrate it to all the project managers.  And such was the beginning of our roadshow together,  teaching over 40 separate classes over 6 months at sites across North America.

Bill was my mentor at work and helped me to grow in my career.   Bill knew and taught me the art of business travel.  He often left me at the back of the airplane, as he was called up to first class with an upgrade.  He knew how to encourage our travel colleagues after a long day of work with his famous “Team Meetings”.   Much of his training content is still included in the core of our curriculum guide. 
 
In preparation for his retirement from BASF, Bill provided me with more leadership opportunities.  His goal was to get on the road to visit his family and leave his work legacy in good hands.

His stories from his experiences were at the core of his style, and I heard them repeatedly, with new experiences feeding into new stories to tell.  Such was William Bailey.

Bill was one of my first bosses when I started at BASF back in 1990. We worked together on various projects until he retired. We was always such a joy to work and travel with. First, he was a touch notch engineer, but he was also so funny. He taught me a lot about work and about life. We was a great man and he will certainly be missed.

So glad we got the opportunity to get to know Bill. He was a fighter. 
He’s in a better place now and no longer in pain. He will be missed.

I am so very sorry to hear about Bill‘s passing. He fought so hard. He was a true gentleman and he will be missed. May he rest in peace. ❤️

Loved playing golf with Bill. His swing was smooth as butter and always down the middle. I’ll miss him.

To my brother by another mother, I loved you and couldn’t  have chosen a better brother.-in-law. You were tough, sometimes too tough.  You were honest sometimes too honest.  You were a special friend and my only regret is that we didn’t spend more time together.
