Yun Sonu Hines

She is survived by her children: Alex Cho and wife Hee Cho, Stephanie Ford and husband Corey Ford, George Cho, and Jinny Saad and husband John Saad. Yun was a loving grandmother to Ronnie, Allison, Corey, Jamie, James, Sarah, and Michael, as well as a proud great-grandmother to two great-grandsons Joon and Cameron.

Yun was preceded in death by her parents, Ki Soo Sonu and Myong Pae Tak, daughter Nam Hee Cho and her husband Charles G. Hines, and she now joins her sister, Song Sil Sonu, in eternal peace. Together, Yun and Song shared a deep bond that will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved them.

Known for her passion for life, family, and perseverance, Yun found joy in the simple things like sewing, cooking, playing BINGO, and most of all, spending time with her beloved family. Despite facing numerous challenges in her life, Yun remained a determined fighter who inspired those around her.

A memorial service in loving memory of Yun Hines and Song Sil Sonu will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10:00 am at Austin Good Korean Church, located at 9507 Dessau Road, Austin, TX 78754.
