Alex J Messner

Alex J. Messner, 14, of Lebanon, passed away in the Good Samaritan Hospital on Saturday, February 26th, 2011. He was born in Lancaster, a son of Christopher L. Messner and step mother, Sally Lucus of Sumerset, PA. and Michelle K. Mitchell Messner and step father Todd Connor of Lebanon. Alex went to Hershey Middle School and currently Palmyra Middle School where he was in the 8th grade. He was greatly helped by the Children’s Miracle Network in Hershey and Make a Wish Foundation in Lancaster. Surviving are his parents; brothers: Brandon, Cody and Dylan Messner, sisters: Hannah Messner and Hailey Connor; maternal grandparents: Dianne Mitchell of Palmyra and Thomas Mitchell of Kittanning, PA.; maternal aunts and uncles: Judy Mitchell of Frackville, PA., Kristen Holms of ILL. And Joshua Mitchell of Middletown; paternal aunt and uncles: Brenda Schneck of Lebanon ; Brian Messner of Lebanon and Wayne Messner of N.C.; several cousins, He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Gloria Messner. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 3rd, 2011 at 10:00am in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA. 17042 with pastor Dave Swift of Zion E.C.C. will officiate. A viewing will be held from 9:00am until the time of the service. Interment will be in Schafferstown Cemetery. The family has asked to please send memorial contributions to Michelle Messner 1416 Elm St., Lebanon, PA., 17042 to defray the funeral expences.
