Annabel S. Karnes, 99, Lebanon, passed away on Monday march 4, 2024 in the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of the late Claud H. Karnes. Annabel was born in Lebanon on May 28, 1924, a daughter of the late Millard and Mary E. Basselgia Steckbeck. She was a 1942 graduate of Lebanon High School and had been employed by Sears Credit Central. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church; the Sears Retirement Club and was a TOPS member for many years. She is survived by children: Terry W. Karnes, Grayson, GA; George H. and wife Kathleen Karnes, Camp Hill; Robert J. and wife Heather Karnes, Richland; Mary Ann wife of David Allwein, Lebanon; grandchildren: Stephen Karnes and wife Cheryl; Craig Karnes and wife Lisa-Ruth; Matthew Allwein; Mark Allwein; great-grandchildren: Alexandra Karnes and Ethan Harris Karnes. She was preceded in death by brothers: Robert and George Steckbeck as well her grandparents who raised her: Mr. and Mrs. George Garman. Funeral will be Friday 1:00pm in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042 with a viewing from 12:00pm until the time of service. Interment will be in Covenant Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church 1800 Oak St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
