Barbara Jane Marderness

Barbara J. Marderness, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lebanon on April 22, 1943, to the late Clara Lucetta (Saylor) and John Samuel Lehman.

Barbara was an active member of the former Myerstown Baptist Church, now known as Myerstown Christian Fellowship. While there, she attended the Senior Saints, a Women’s Church Group for Seniors.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David A. Marderness Sr; her parents, John and Clara; her sisters, Anna Mae Dupple; Clara “Tootie” Felty and her Husband Richard Felty Sr; Shirley Reinhart (surviving Husband Robert Reinhart); and Great-Grandson Benjamin.

Barbara is survived by her sons, David A. and wife Joni Marderness Jr, Thomas and wife Julie Marderness, Scott and wife Shawn Marderness, Bryan and wife Tami Marderness, and daughter Lisa Mountz. Grandchildren,Corinna, Jacob; Justin, Courtney; Chelsea, Lindsey; Jarod, Scott, DJ, Skyler, Krista, Lance; Holden, Marah, and Jeremiah. Great- Grandchildren, Benjamin, John, Carly, Baylee, Skye, Olivia, Lucas, Wyatt, Grayson, Isabella, Brody, Mavis, Rayna, Ayvrill, Ahyden, Adrienne, Aresh, McKenzie, Lacey, Jaxon, Melody, Remington and one on the way.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 1:30 pm in Myerstown Christian Fellowship Church, 59 N. Ramona Rd., Myerstown, PA 17067 with a viewing beginning at 12:30 pm until time of service. Interment will be made in Millbach Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you honor Barbaras memory with donations to the Dementia Society of America, 188 N. Main St., Doylestown, PA 18901.
