Brenda Raye Ranta

Brenda R. Ranta, 76, Lebanon, passed away in Sunday May 10, 2026 in the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of William J. Ranta, Sr. and the late Harry D. Williams, Sr. Brenda was born in Lebanon on March 22, 1950, a daughter of the late Robert R. Boyer, Sr., and the late Loretta J. (McPheters) Boyer. She had been employed by Dollar Tree and the Lebanon Daily News but her most important occupation was that of caring for her family. Brenda had been a member of the Steelstown Gun Club and she loved her pet bird Chester. She had operated a church thrift store in Lebanon with her late husband to help the less fortunate in the area. Brenda was a selfless woman who sacrificed much for the good of others. In addition to her husband she is survived by children: Georganna wife of Scott Lerch; Harry D. Williams and wife Lisa; Alice M. Miller; Paul M. Williams and wife Christie; BobbieJo wife of Steven Twaddle; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers: Dale and Larry Waltman; sister: Karen Alexander as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son: Ralph Robert Williams; brother; Robert Boyer, Jr. and sisters: Sandy Kohr and Susan Gernert. Interment will be private.
