Buford D. Keefer

Buford D. “ Bo or Tine” Keefer, 51, of Lebanon, passed away at his residence on Thursday, September 9, 2010. Born in Altoona, he was the son of the late Beauford P. Keefer and Alice A. Murtiff Keefer Schneider. Mr. Keefer was employed as a welder for G.E., Buell Envirotech where he retired after 21 years of service. He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting and fishing. He was an avid Western book reader and Steelers fan. Surviving are his children: Zachary R. Keefer of Mohrsville PA; daughter: Gwendolyn Schrack of Shoemakersville PA.; step granddaughter: Emily Kachel; brothers: Paul D. husband of Sue Keefer of Altoona and Gary S. husband of Aleigh Keefer of China; sister: Gwendolyn L. wife of Kent Steinbrunner of Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews. Buford was preceded in death by his step father Charlie Schneider; brothers: Harry and Donald Keefer; sisters: Cheryl Keefer, Sharron Keefer and Mary Barley. Memorial Services will be held on Monday at 1:00PM in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042. A visitation will be held from 12:30PM until the time of the service.
