Catherine M Kreider

Catherine M. Kreider, 86, of Cedar Haven, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 in the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of the late Marlin Bowman Kreider. She was born in Lebanon on August 2, 1930, a daughter of the late George and Beatrice Rittle Sudbury. Catherine was employed as a federal food inspector, last working in Duncannon. In her younger years, she was an active member of the Ono United Methodist Church and Lickdale Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. While at Cedar Haven, she enjoyed arts and crafts and playing bingo. She served as crossing guard in Jonestown and loved camping with her camper. She also was a graduate of the Lebanon High School. She is survived by a son, Marlin “Butch” Kreider, Jr. and wife Nancy of Palmyra; Cathy Gibson of Jonestown; grandson, Shawn M. Kreider of Jonestown; brother, Allen Sudbury and wife Betty of Annville. She was preceded in death by sons, Randy and Mel Kreider, a brother and a sister. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 1:30 PM in Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon with a view beginning on Wednesday at 12:30 PM. Interment will be made in the Kochenderfer’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 855 Tuck Street, Suite 2, Lebanon, PA 17042.
