Conrad Bomberger Youse

Conrad Bomberger Youse, Lebanon, passed away on September 23, 2025 in the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the loving husband of Winifred H. Youse with whom he celebrated a 65th wedding anniversary on June 11th. Conrad was born in Myerstown on October 16, 1938, a son of the late Alvin L. B. and Mildred M. Bomberger Youse. He was a graduate of Gettysburg College where he played soccer and baseball; and completed his seminary at Mount Airy Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia in 1963. He served as a Lutheran pastor for many years in the Lebanon area both at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lebanon as well as at Trinity Lutheran Church in Colebrook during the years between 1963 and 1977. He became Executive Director of Lutheran Camping Corporation in 1977 where he served until 2000. After his retirement, he continued to serve as the site and facility manager until 2022 at Camp Kirchenwald. During the 1980’s he also was a coach for the Lebanon High School soccer team. Conrad was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lebanon. Conrad enjoyed riding bike, kayaking and skiing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son: Michael Youse; daughter-in-law: Elizabeth (Patchen) Youse; grandchildren: Ellin Youse, Jacob Youse, Matthew Youse, Kirsten wife of Andrew Hyatt; Molly Youse, Jonathan Youse, William Youse. He was preceded in death by a son: Bradley D. Youse and brother: Ronald B. Youse. Memorial services will Friday October 3, 2025 at 11:00 am in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. There will a time of visitation from 9:00am until the time of service in the church. There will be a reception following the service also in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Camping Corporation P.O.Box 459, Arendtsville, PA 17303 or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 732 Lehman St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
