Some of the words I would use to describe Dave are sensitive, caring and fun loving. He definitely had a great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and tease. Dave and I spent a few years together when he, his brother Barney and I lived in the Charlotte area in the sixties. Daughter Kathy came along during that time, so Dave was able to spend time with his niece. Those were good years for all of us, but as time marched on we ended up living further apart, which meant less time together. In recent years, Kathy and I took a couple trips up to Lebanon to visit Dave and Sandy. We are so thankful that we took those trips. We saw the old Dave peek out at us, which was wonderful. As his disease progressed, he was well taken care of by Sandy, the love of his life. I am saddened that his time on earth is over.
