Born on October 9, 1948, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Mary and Kenneth Haller. During his youth, he lived in various parts of the country before his family settled in Hicksville, New York, where he graduated from high school. He later returned to Pittsburgh to pursue higher education, earning his Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh and his law degree from Duquesne University.
David dedicated much of his life to public service and civic engagement. He served as a Cleona Borough Council Member, Treasurer of the Lebanon County Democratic Committee, and Vice Chairperson of the North Cornwall Township Board of Auditors. His commitment to his community extended well beyond politics.
He was deeply involved in local organizations, serving as Scoutmaster for Troop 21 in Cleona, as both a board member and President of Synagogue Beth Israel, and as treasurer for a local bowling league in which he actively participated.
Above all, David cherished time spent with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather who found his greatest joy in being with his children and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Robin Haller; his siblings, Ken, Steven, Cathy, and Jim; his children, Shelly, Marc, Jason, Lauren, Keith, and Jackie; and his cherished grandchildren, Brendan and Liliana.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
David will be remembered for his dedication to his community, his passion for service, and the love he shared with his family
