Donald Maransky, 71, Jonestown, passed away on Monday September 25, 2023 in his residence. He was born in Lebanon, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Maransky. He had been employed as the bakery manager of Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill for over 20 years. He was a member of the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church where he had been a Sunday School teacher; superintendent of the Sunday School; served as president and vice-president for many years and cooked and baked for many church functions. Donald enjoyed landscaping and gardening at his home as well as decorating for the holidays. He also enjoyed traveling. He is survived by brothers: Joseph Maransky, Lebanon; Thomas Maransky, Jonestown; sister-in-law: Gloria Maransky, Lebanon; nephews: James husband of Nadia Maransky, Cherry Hill, NJ; Brian husband of Angie Maransky, Pipersville; niece: Melissa Maransky wife of Chad Wike, Lebanon; also several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers: James and Paul Maransky. Funeral services will be Saturday 11:00 am from Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church, 118 E. Weidman St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Viewing will be Friday from 6 to 8 pm in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042 and Saturday from 10:00 am to the time of service in the church. Interment will be made in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery with a dacha immediately following the interment in the social hall of the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to his church.
