

Dorothy Mae Sanders, 83, of Lebanon, died Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the Good Samaritan Hospital. She is the wife of the late Lawrence H. Sanders. She was born in Lebanon on November 18, 1931, a daughter of the late Arthur and Elva Doughty Neuman. Dorothy was a sales clerk for H. L. Greens in Lebanon for 10 years and also was manager of the Warehouse Outerwear Outlet in Lebanon. She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Lebanon and was a graduate of Lebanon High School, Class of 1949. She loved cats, reading and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. She enjoyed music, especially listening to Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera. She is survived by a son, Kenneth Bishop and wife Frances of Lebanon; daughters, Kathy Sanders of Lebanon; Betty Singer and husband William of Lebanon; grandchildren, Jason Singer, Lauren Singer and Allison Singer; Kenneth Bishop, Jr., Anthony Bishop and Lyle Bishop. She was preceded in death by brothers, Henry Doughty and Horace Doughty; sister, Marguerite Roth. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the St. James Lutheran Church, 53 Chestnut St., Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be made in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Viewing on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon and Friday from 10 AM until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friends of All Animals, 777 N. 8th Ave., Lebanon, PA 17046 or St. James Lutheran Church.
