Grigore Mutu, 61, of Lebanon passed away on Sunday June 14, 2026 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Anna (Ianac) Mutu to whom he was married for 39 years. Grigore was born in Moldova on September 16, 1964 to the late Iacov and Marina Mutu. He was a loving man who adored his family. He was a loving and devoted husband who was known to surprise his wife for any reason at all with flowers, whether it be for anniversaries, birthdays or just to make her smile. He never missed an opportunity to show her his love for her. His grandchildren provided some of the happiest moments in his life. He so enjoyed playing with them and making up silly games; making them laugh and just enjoying time with them. He treasured every minute together with them. Grigore was a man who took a great deal of pleasure in helping others. He would lend a hand to anyone who needed him and he loved working with his hands either fixing or building things. He took great pride in caring for his home and found satisfaction in creating things that would make life better for his family. Grigore was a kind and generous person who touched many lives with his selflessness. Money was only a means by which he could help others. He worked hard and gave most of what he had to his children, telling them to “Take it and use it. I will work more and make more.” He defined what sacrifice meant in the way he cared for his family. Grigore loved fining a bargain and was proud of each purchase he made at thrift stores when he felt he made a good purchase. He was a humble, hardworking and generous man who lived a full life defined by his love for his family. The lessons he taught them will be cherished by them forever. In addition to his wife he is survived by daughter Ala and son-in-law Wilson Vega; son Cornel and daughter-in-law Liuba; grandchildren: Alessio, Annie Rose, Alexia and Emilia. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 26, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church, 122 E. Weidman St., Lebanon, PA 17046 with the Very Rev. Fr. Borjan Vitanov officiating. A viewing will held from 10:00 am until the time of service in the church. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
