Harvey A. Rittle, 91, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Arlene Kneasel Rittle. He was born in St. Clair, PA, on February 14, 1927, a son of the late Robert and Mamie Krissinger Rittle. Harvey was employed as a truck driver for over 25 years. He was a member of F.O.E. Post 472, an avid golfer and bowler, and was inducted in the Lebanon County Bowling Hall Fame. Harvey served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of the 142nd Engineer Combat Battalion with the 42nd Infantry Division, also known as the famed “Rainbow Division”. He is survived by a son, Bryan Rittle and wife Pamela; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole and William; five great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Rittle; sisters, Betty Sudbury, Mamie Haldeman and Faye Breidenstine; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 11am in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon with a viewing beginning on Thursday at 9 am.
