

Imogene “Jean” Mays, 86, of Quentin, passed away in the Good Samaritan Hospital on Thursday, June 16th, 2011. She was born in Cleaton Ky. on August 13th, 1924, a daughter of the late Claude and Victoria (Shadowens) Roark. She was the wife of Rodney J. Mays to whom she was married to for 50 years. Mrs. Mays was a homemaker. She attended Olivet Nazarene University where she became an ordained minister. Her ministry was on the streets and prison in Bradenton Florida. Jean volunteered in the local Jubilee prison ministry. She was a member of Grace Chapel in Elizabethtown. Surviving are her husband, son: David M., husband of June E. (Copley) Gleason of Akron, OH.; daughters: Corliss Jean Petry of Manheim and Janneetta C., wife of Larry C. Klink of Lebanon; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Jean is preceded in death by a son Stephen J. Gleason and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20th, 2011 at 10:30AM in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA., 17042 with Pastor Luke Weaver, of Grace Chapel, Pastor Glen Esler, Chaplain at Cornwall Manor and Pastor Mary Ellen Beckman, minister of visitation for the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd officiating. A visitation will be from 9:30AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Quentin Cemetery.
