Jack Leland Stouffer

Jack Leland Stouffer, 81, of Lebanon passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 in his home. He was born in Tacoma Park, Maryland on November 25, 1944, a son of the late Homer Edwin Stouffer and Florence May Richey Stouffer.

Jack had interesting and varied experiences during his lifetime.

He had participated in a few Civil Rights Freedom Rides during the early 1960’s. His community work continued volunteering for the Appalachian Service Project for several decades. He later was involved in the Swatara Watershed Authority as well as helping to clear the Union Canal.

Jack was an Alderman and an election supervisor for the City of Lebanon. He sang in the Hershey Community Chorus and in the Trinity Church choir. He was an avid Hershey Bears fan. He also enjoyed working on old steam engines at Rough and Tumble Engineers Historical Association.

Jack is survived by his brother Paul of Lawrenceville, GA and his niece Alexandra Ruiz and family of Richmond Hill, GA. He was preceded in death by his sister Lois Stouffer.

In his final illness he was assisted by his friends Tee and Karen.

The Rohland Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. A Memorial of Life will be held at the Trinity UMC in Lebanon at 11AM on Thursday, September 17th.
