James “Jamie” B. Collins Sr., 60, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026. He was born in Lebanon on August 4, 1966, a son of the late Arthur F. Collins Jr. and Anna Mae (Schaffner) Collins. In April of this year, he celebrated 7 years of marriage to his long-time love, Deanna (Stuart) Collins.
Jamie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, which he attended faithfully with his parents. He was a roll off truck driver for Waste Management for 33 years.
In his free time, he enjoyed dirt track racing and was passionate about cars. His prized possession was his red Ford Mustang, which he loved to work on. He attended many car shows, where he relished the chance to talk shop with fellow gearheads. But what meant the most to Jamie was having his family along for the ride. He was a devoted and dependable family man who gave selflessly and easily. If there was something to be fixed, he would add it to his to-do list and take care of it eventually, even if it meant mowing the grass at 11 o’clock at night.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Deanna; son, James B. (Taylor) Collins Jr., whom Jamie affectionately called “Crockett”; daughters, Caitlyn (Sam) Patz and Lexxi Rutter; grandchildren, Harlen, Arthur and Bay; brother, Joseph (Stacey) Collins; sisters, Donna, Laurie, Tammy and Faith; birth mother, Linda; and many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jamie was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Anna; as well as several aunts and uncles.
Memorial services for Jamie will be held in Rohland Funeral Home on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning at 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jamie’s honor may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church of Colebrook, 58 Church Rd., Manheim, PA 17545.
