
James M. Workman, Jr., 79, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Freida M. Bozman Workman, to whom he was married 35 years. He was born March 3, 1934, in Fredericksburg, a son of the late James M. Workman, Sr. and Marion Moyer Workman Gillette. James worked as a truck driver for 45 years, retiring from Kevin Fox Trucking of Lebanon. He was associated with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and a member of the Fish & Game Club of Pine Grove. He loved completing jigsaw puzzles and gardening. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children, James M. Workman, III and wife, Faith of Homer, Pa., and Julie Umberger of Brandon, Fla.; grandchildren, Sean and Jenna Umberger and James M. Workman, IV; stepchildren, Kellie Valenti and husband, Tom of Ohio, Larry Fett of Lykens, and Gary Fett of Ohio; three stepgrandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Workman; sister, Mary Eisenhower; and stepdaughter, Becky Fett. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 235 Maple St., Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067. Rohland Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of his arrangements.
