Jean M. Donley, 77, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of Harold “Hal” F. Donley with whom she was married to for 56 years. She was born in Stouchsburg on April 21, 1940, a daughter of the late Richard and Kathryn Speck Bechtold. She was employed in her younger years as a medical secretary working at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, DC for their Chief Surgeon. She was also employed by Dr. Hartman and Dr. Otto in Lebanon. She graduated from Lebanon High School, Class of 1958 and Maryland Medical Secretary School. Jean was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Lebanon and the Lebanon Chapter #115 Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed going on vacation cruises, and was an avid bridge player. She loved spending time with her family and friends and especially attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Michael Donley of Pottsville; David Donley and wife Makathy of Enola; Brian Donley and wife Stephanie of Lansdale; Edward Donley and wife Mary-Kate of Lebanon; grandchildren, Matthew, Abigail, Benjamin, Meredith, Owen, Juliana, Kendall and Carly; twin sister, Jeanette Fink and husband Charles of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Donley. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 11 am in Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon with a viewing beginning on Thursday at 10 am. Interment will be made in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 53 Chestnut St, Lebanon, PA 17042.
