Jo Anna Wentling

Jo was a lover of life, Gestalt therapy, birds, Christmas holidays, family and friends and embraced each day with joy and hope. She persevered in living her life fully, doing it her way, despite pain and 12 years of chemotherapy.

Jo was a long time faculty member of the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia, where she was a gifted teacher and valued colleague. Jo was always willing to share her keen mind to further the teachings and practice of Gestalt Therapy.

Jo retired from Northwestern Human Services of Delaware County in 2010, where she was a therapist and supervisor for 23 years.

In addition to her partner of 27 years, Marie Boulden, Jo is survived by her two nieces, Thea Blouch , Kathy Guindon; two nephews David and Keith Guindon; two brothers, John and Gary Wentling; and many great nephews and nieces. Her family was very important to Jo. They meant the world to her. She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.

Funeral services will be held on November 26, at Rohlands Funeral Home, Lebanon at 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on December 15 at 4:30 PM at English House, Bryn Mawr College.

It was Jo's wishes that in lieu of flower, contributions be made to the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia, P.O. Box 961, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010-096.
