John Joseph Maransky, 51, Lebanon, passed away on Saturday September 1, 2018 in his residence. He was born in Lebanon on June 25, 1967 and was the son of Joseph Maransky and the late Catherine Steckbeck Maransky. John was a graduate of Lebanon High School; Lebanon Valley College; attended Boston University; and received his MBA from the Ohio State University. He proudly served as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps during the first Persian Gulf War. After his career in the Marine Corps he worked for Microsoft for several years. John was also a member of the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church in Lebanon. In addition to his father he is survived by a brother: James and his wife Nadia Maransky as well as nephews Luke and Cole and a niece Eva Maransky. He is also survived by uncles Donald and Thomas Maransky. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042 where a time of visitation will be held from 10:00 am to the time of service. Interment with full military honors will be made in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers his family wishes contributions to be made to the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, 118 E. Weidman St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
