Joseph Angelo, 96, of Lebanon, passed away at home on Thursday, May 26th, 2011. He was born in Rexmont on June 14th, 1914, a son of the late Anthony and Louisa Chevanole Angelo. Joseph was the husband of Arlene Strouphar Angelo to whom he was married 42 years. Mr. Angelo was the owner of Angelo’s Tavern for more than 40 years. He enjoyed People, Gardening and Church. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Lebanon. Surviving are his wife, daughters: Carol Gabriel; Jean, wife of Charles Lantz all of Lebanon; Stepsons: Larry, husband of Eileen Hentz of Lebanon; Michael, husband of Nancy Hentz of Lebanon; Blair, husband of Debra Hentz of Wilmington, OH; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister: Esther Panessa of Hershey. Joseph was preceded in death by a step son, Chester Hentz, grandson, Dwayne Gabriel and sisters, Rose Wida and Betty Angelo. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 31st, 2011 at 2:30 P.M. in Rohland Funeral Home Inc., 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA., 17042 with his pastors Wayne Burggraff and Earl Binkley officiating. A Viewing will be held from 1:30 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
