
Joseph Harry Donahue, Jr., 89, passed away Saturday, November 2,, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, PA. He was born October 1, 1924 in Delaware Co., PA to the late J. Harry Donahue and Edith (Henderson) Donahue. He graduated from Upper Darby High School and was in the Army-Air force during WWII. He married Ethel Clark on November 19, 1944. He was a Graphic Arts Professional and was actively involved with Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines for over 30 years and served as President of the Board for 18 years. He is survived by his wife Ethel of Lebanon, PA; son, Nason J. Donahue of New Sweden, Maine; daughter, Catherine (Donahue) Horneff wife of Arthur Horneff Jr. of New Paris, PA. Sisters: Ruth Houdeshel of Bloomington, IN; Grace Loyle of Ocean City, NJ; as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Jane (Donahue) Mroczek. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in remembrance to Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines, 1710 Ridge Rd, Pottstown, PA 19465. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Levi Zerr Chapel of Cornwall Manor, 1 Boyd St., Cornwall, PA 17016. The Rohland Funeral Home, Lebanon is handling the arrangements.
