Karen Sue Scheetz, 72, passed away at home on Thursday, November 6, 2025, comforted by the presence of her loving family. She was born in Lebanon on August 4, 1953, a daughter of the late Helen May (Smith) and Howard Carpenter. On June 16, 1973, she married Roy Daniel Scheetz. They celebrated 52 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in September of this year.
Karen enjoyed relaxing at home with her beloved fur babies; either reading, knitting or working on a word search. In the summer, she loved to lounge and swim in her pool, and she would often bake cakes as special treats for her family.
She is survived by her sister, Kay (Edward) Gardener of Schaefferstown; brother, James (Dorothy) Carpenter of Landisville; her nephews, Dylan (Emily) Gardener and Nathanial Gardener, both of Schaefferstown; nieces, Lillian (Alex) Gardener- Vidal of Myerstown, Dana Carpenter and Jamie Carpenter, both of Lancaster; a great niece Ava and nephew Aaron.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Roy and a nephew, Justin Gardener.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a memorial service beginning at 3:00pm in Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042. A private interment will take place at the family’s convenience.
