Kathleen P Runkel

Kathleen P. “Kitty” Runkel, 81, Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday February 16, 2022 in Cedar Haven. She was the wife of the late Melvin O. “Skip” Runkel. Kitty was born in Lebanon on November 24, 1940 a daughter of the late Charles E. and Alice E. Hicks Brossman. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School and was a long-time member of Messiah Lutheran Church where she was involved in many areas of the church. Kitty enjoyed cooking, crocheting, watching game shows and soap operas. When not visiting with family, she could always be found outside tending to her flowers. She was an avid card player who also enjoyed traveling to Canada. She is survived by children: Michael E. Runkel and wife Elizabeth; Jody L. Runkel; Scott A. Runkel; grandchildren: Ryan Runkel and wife Justine; Kaylea Lerch; great grandchildren: McKenna and Owen Runkel; brother: James Brossman and wife Holly as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers: John, Charles and Robert Brossman and sisters: Helen Dissinger, Emma Reiner and Lucille Brandt. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042 where a viewing will held from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Rd., Myerstown, PA 17067.
