LeRoy “Chip” Peffley, Jr., 75, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Chip was the son of the late LeRoy and Joyce Peffley of Wet Lebanon. He is survived by his sister, Nannette wife of Richard Denlinger, Lancaster. He has many surviving cousins, great friends, and godchildren. Chip was under VA Hospice care for several days before passing. Chip was a life long member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, West Lebanon. Chip attended the Lebanon City Schools, graduating in 1967. Chip was drafted into the Army in 1969 and was awarded the Bronze Star while serving with the 1st Calvary Division in Vietnam. After 2 years in the Army Chip went to work for the Navy or the next 31 years as a logistician. He retired in 2011. Funeral arrangements are being provided by Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St. Lebanon, 17042. There will be a viewing from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am on Friday February 28, 2025 in the funeral home. The Reverends Brunilda Martinez and Deanna Geiter will be officiating. Interment will be in the Covenant Greenwood Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Chip’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
