Linda L Blessing

Linda L. Blessing, 84, of Myerstown transitioned into eternal life on March 20, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Donald C. and Bertha Breidegan Potteiger of Lebanon. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Blessing in 2019. She often told the story as to how she met him after a dance at the Eagles Hall in Lebanon. She said he knew right then that “she was the one for him”. They married a year later and were together 64 years. Linda was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was employed by Weis Markets and later by Northwest Savings Bank where she retired as a customer service representative.

Linda was an avid reader. She enjoyed listening to music, learning about her ancestry and sharing her knowledge of the history of the Cornwall area, her dad’s service during WWII on the USS Missouri and visits with her husband to the Civil War battlefields. Most of all ‘Gibbs’ of NCIS helped to pass the time.

For many years, Linda and her husband vacationed in the Poconos and various beach destinations where the lighthouses were always of special interest. She shared her husband’s interest in steam trains and model railroading.

Linda is survived by daughters: Beverly (Steven) Heishman, Audrey (Bryon) Spitler, Lorna (Stephen) Wagner and Christine (Michael) Weatherby; grandchildren: Stephanie Heishman (David) Predko, Erik Bingaman, Anthony Blessing, Michael (Erika Druckenmiller) Wagner and Erik Bingaman; great grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Connor Predko, Thatcher and Wilder Blessing, Bo, Brock and Noah (deceased) Wagner and Erik Bingaman; a sister Peggy Heagy Leisey; cousin Joyce Mazur and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 9AM from Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland ST, Lebanon (family visitation will be held at 8:30 AM until the time of service). Interment will follow the service at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be given in memory of Linda to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 723 Lehman Street, Lebanon, PA 17046.
