Lloyd George Smith, 86, of Cornwall, PA, passed away at MS Hershey Medical Center. He was born to Mary J. and Elmer R. Smith. Lloyd graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a MS in Nuclear Engineering. His work focused on design, construction, and maintenance of power systems for the US Departments of Navy, Energy, and Defense.
Lloyd relaxed by playing championship bridge, reading science fiction, and as Assistant Director of the 250 member youth band, the Weldonians of Hayward, CA. A talented saxophone player, he was known for his calmness and kindness.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: Elmer and James Smith and survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara J. and their supportive children: Jeannette and Lloyd (Brittany) Smith.
