Marion was born December 16, 1924, and was a life-long resident of Lebanon. She was a devoted mother to her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Miller, wife of Tom, and Jean Bonneville, wife of Bob. Her son, R. Scott, predeceased her. Marion was also blessed with four grandsons, Drew Miller (wife, Jennifer Macquarrie), Mathew Bonneville (wife, Jody Cowles), Justin Miller (wife, Mary Leaper), and Jeremy Bonneville (wife, Kelly Field) and seven great-grandchildren (Avery, Logan, Kendall, Wesley, Chase, Julie, and Cash).
Marion’s faith in God was a guiding force in her life. She was an active member of Cornwall UMC and a former member of Hebron UMC.
Marion gave years of service to civic organizations: she was a worthy matron of Eastern Star, a president of Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary, a president of the Lebanon Junior Women’s Club, a president and treasurer of the Lebanon Women’s Club, and a manager of the gift shop at Cornwall Manor.
The family is grateful and indebted to the many individuals working at the Cornwall Manor Health Center who skillfully attended to our mother’s needs with affection, compassion and kindness. The family also acknowledges and thanks Hospice Compassionate Care for the care they provided. We also thank the following clergy for their support and guidance: the Revs., Jim Heath, Glenn Esler and Rick Andrews.
Marion’s funeral service will be held Friday, October 28, at 11 am, at Zerr Chapel, on the Cornwall Manor campus. Prior to the service, an Order of Eastern Star ceremony will be held at 9:45 am and a visitation from 10 – 11 am. Immediately following the service friends are invited to a luncheon at Freeman Hall, Cornwall Manor, and to accompany the family at a graveside interment at 2 pm, at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.
In lieu of flowers, Marion has requested that contributions in her honor be made to Cornwall United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 687, Cornwall, PA 17016, or a charity of personal choice.
