
Michael J. Feigum, 61, Womelsdorf, died Saturday January 14, 2012 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Barbara Ann nee Samuelson Feigum with whom he would have celebrated a 31st wedding anniversary in May. He was born in Philadelphia on January 13, 1951 a son of the late Elvin B. and Eva Petusky Feigum. He was a retired houseparent at the Bethany Children’s Home with 28 years of service. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U. S. Air Force. He was a member of the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and he was an outdoors sports writer for the West Berks Crier. He was president of the Wallace Stevens chapter of the Berks Poetry Society and was a member of the Patriotic order of the Sons of America. He was a published author of “Chicken Soup for the Baseball Fan’s Soul” and enjoyed photography. He also served on the Womelsdorf Borough Council and zoning commission. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son: Michael J. Feigum; daughter: Helen M. Wolf; granddaughter: Kaylee M. Wolf; sister: Barbara J. wife of Carson K. Miller. Funeral services will be Friday at 4:00 P.M. in the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church, 122 E. Weidman St., Lebanon, PA 17046 where a viewing will begin at 3:00 P.M. Interment will be made in the National Cemetery at Ft. Indiantown Gap Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Hospital, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042 or to the Womelsdorf Volunteer Fire Company, 501 W. High St., Womelsdorf, PA 19567. The Rohland Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
