

Ned Pantelich, 85, York, passed away on Friday August 5, 2022 in the York Wellspan Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Barbara “Babs” Pantelich with whom he shared a wonderful marriage of 66 years. Ned was born in Lebanon on April 20, 1937, a son of the late George and Mary Stefan Pantelich. He was a retired sales educator for the Navistar Company with 44 years of service. He also had proudly served in the U. S. Army. Ned was a 1955 graduate of Lebanon High School where he was a football star. He later attended Syracuse University where he graduated in 1959. While at Syracuse, he played football during the Jim Brown era and played in the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl. He also sang in the glee club while at Syracuse. He was a very active member of the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church in Lebanon where he sang in the choir and played in the orchestra “Jorgovani” with his brother Middie. He was a member of the Maennerchor Club in Lebanon and the Victory Club in York. In addition to his beloved wife, Ned is survived by sons: Ned Pantelich, Jr. of York; Todd Pantelich and significant other: Rose of York; grandchildren: Blake Pantelich and wife Stephanie; Chad Pantelich and wife Brigitta; Erica Pantelich; Darren Pantelich and wife Jessica; great-grandson: Skyler Pantelich; sister: Joanne Ebling; Godson: Daniel; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings: Mary, Dorothy, Hope, Ann, Olga, Branko, Michael and Middie. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11:00 am in the Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church, 120 E. Weidman St., Lebanon, PA 17046 with a viewing from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery with Blake Pantelich, Chad Pantelich, Darren Pantelich, Tim Pantelich, Chris Ebling, Jeff Butch serving as pallbearers and Skyler Pantelich , Ned Pantelich, Jr. and Todd Pantelich serving as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Ned’s church.
