
Richard G. Corl, 90, Annville, died Tuesday October 26, 2010 in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Betty J. nee Gross Corl, with whom he celebrated a 64th wedding anniversary in February. He was born in Lebanon on November 26, 1919 a son of the late Daniel and Elizabeth Nye Corl. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School class of 1937 and Hebron U. M. Church. He was a retired auto mechanic having worked for Brandt’s Texaco Station for many years. He served his country during WW2 in the U. S. Army, where he was a mechanic and drove ambulance. He proudly served in North Africa, Sicily and Italy; and he was a recipient of a bronze star. He was a life member of the Lebanon VFW Post #23; member of the North Lebanon Lions Club and the Annville American Legion. He also enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his wife he is survived by children: Karen S. wife of Michael Gloss; Linda A. Kerkeslager; Donald R. and wife Lynne Corl; Jeffrey A. and wife Patrice Corl; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday 10:00 A.M. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 5th & Cumberland Sts., Lebanon, where a viewing will be held from 9:00 A.M. to the time of service. Interment will be made in the Covenant Greenwood Cemetery with military honors being provided by the Lebanon VFW Post 323 Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lebanon VFW Post #23, 718 Chestnut St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
