Richard George Kohr

Richard G. “Dick” Kohr, 83, of Cleona passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 in the Lebanon V.A. Medical Center. He was the husband of June M. Dierwechter Kohr. He was born in Lebanon on April 25, 1930, son of the late George S. and Lizzie Burns Kohr. Richard was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Schaefferstown. He was formerly employed by San Giorgio’s, Memmi’s Bakery; Hershey then retired from Derry Twp. School District where he was a custodian. He was a member of the Cleona Fire Co. and the Lebanon VFW Post #23. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son: Bruce R. Kohr and wife Linda; grandsons: Christopher Kohr; Robert Kohr all of Cleona and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers: David and Robert Kohr; sisters: Marguerite and Helen Kohr. Family and friends are invited to his funeral on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon with Rev. Daniel Donmoyer pastor of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Schaefferstown officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be made in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery with full military honors presented by the Lebanon VFW Post #23. In lieu of flowers contributions in Richard’s name may be made to the Cleona Fire Co., 136 W. Walnut St., Cleona, PA 17042 or the GSH Hospice, 202 Hathaway Park, Lebanon, PA 17042.
