

Robert Allen Davis, 82, of Lebanon, passed away in the Lebanon V.A. Medical Center on Saturday, September 21st, 2013. He was born in Goshen, Indiana, a son of the late Vernon V. and Adah Leah Collings Davis. Robert was the husband of the late Barbara Ann Miller Davis who passed away March 16th, 2001. Mr. Davis was retired after 37 years of service from the Hershey Chocolate Company where he worked in the Molding Department . He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation. He was in the 5th Infantry division, 11th regiment Indiantown Gap, Pa. He was Awarded the Sharp Shooter’s Medal for outstanding Shooting at 100 and 200 yards. He was an ordained Minister by the Holy Trinity Evangelical Association, Reading in 1961 and the Lighthouse Gospel Center Inc., Tulsa O.K. in 1964. He loved fishing, wood working, gardening growing roses and tomato’s, being outdoors and going for walks. He was proud of his heritage as a Black Foot Indian. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #23, Lebanon and Living Waters Chapel, Lebanon. Surviving are his children: Margaret L., wife of Rodney Rowe, Lebanon; Roberta L. Truong of Philadelphia; Theodore P.M., husband of Andrea L. Davis, Lebanon and Ann M. Davis of Lebanon; two grandsons: Jeremy M. Longo and Christopher R., husband of Kelly Longo, all of Lebanon; five great grandchildren: Holly V., Christal M., Christopher R. Jr., Jessica L., Zoey E. Longo; sister: Alice Lea Everly of Plymouth, Indiana; several step brothers and step sisters; nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his wife and brother: Leroy V. Davis. A funeral service will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc., 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, Pa., 17042 on Thursday, September 26th, 2013 at 10:00a.m. with his pastor Rev. John S. Whitman officiating. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. and Thursday at 9:00a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
