Robert Raymond Eckert, 79, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 in Myerstown Nursing and Rehab, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 7, 1945 to the late Helen (Weidner) and Robert R. Eckert in Lebanon, PA.
In 1963, Robert graduated from Lebanon High School. Soon after, he enlisted within the United States Air Force and proudly served his country. On August 6, 1977, he married his best friend and the love of his life, Deborah Sando. They recently celebrated 48 years of marriage. In his down time, Robert enjoyed golfing and woodworking. He was a member of several local social organizations, one of which was the Lebanon Elk’s Lodge #631.
He is survived by his devoted wife Deborah; his two daughters, Stacie Hollinger and Nicole (Matthew) Dubbs; grandchildren, Nathan and Jaylyn Hollinger and Jonah And Ethans Dubbs; a great grandson, Isaiah Hollinger; sister Linda and her husband Tom Arnold of Allentown; a brother-in-law, Ken Shank; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son-in-law, Paul Hollinger; and a sister, Patricia Shank.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St. Lebanon, PA 17042. Visitation will begin at 9 :00 AM prior to service. Interment will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
