Robert L. Haas, 91, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 28, 2018. He was the husband of the late Josephine A. Brestovanski Haas. He was born in Pottsville on September 1, 1926, son of the late Wilmer E. and Florence D. Wagner Haas. Robert was a federal employee working as an inspector for the Department of Defense. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Some of Robert’s hobbies included raising pigeons, hunting, fishing, and golfing. He also had a small bicycle shop in his garage and enjoyed going to eat at Heisey’s Diner. He is survived by children, Richard L. Haas and wife Lori of Lebanon; Susan M. Brossman of Lebanon; five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilmer Haas. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 11 am in Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon with a viewing beginning on Thursday at 10 am. Interment with military honor will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

I remember when I was little girl, I would go in the garage asking if he needed any bike tubes pumped up? He would reply don’t scratch the red car! I promised I wouldn’t. I would help him feed his pigeons or I would at least try to without running out because I was scared. I always enjoyed my time at his house and playing with benji.
