

Robert “Kippy” Leroy Kipp, 89 of Lebanon, passed away in WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. He was born in Lebanon on August 30 ,1935, a son of the late George Edwin Kipp and Christine “Teeny” May Heverling. Mr. Kipp attended Lebanon High School, received his diploma in 1953. He was employed as a truck driver by Lebanon Dairies; Heligs’s Moving Co; Jones Motors; Sheridan Slag; Lebanon Chemical (Sea Board). In his retirement he drove children to Lebanon County Schools. He loved hunting, fishing, baseball, darts, pool, and bowling. He served his country with Distinguished Service in the US Marines 11 Aug 1953 – 10 Aug 1956 and earned the National Defense Service Medal and Navy Occupation Service Medal. Corporal Robert L. Kipp was promoted to Corporal on 1 Nov 1954. In October 1954 Cpl Kipp was selected as one of 51 outstanding Marines of the 6th Regiment Second Marine Division at Camp Lejune. As a reward the group was selected to participate in a battle scene in the movie “Battle Cry,” released Feb 1955. Robert is recognized in the credits. He and his former wife, Nancy, had 7 children. He is survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sons Robert L. Kipp Jr. and David B. Kipp, sister: Judith Moll, brothers: Charles Mase Jr. and Ralph Mase 1 grandchild and his special friend “Kitten.” Also, he will be sadly missed by his good friends, Bob and Dawn Hummel.
