Ronald R. Rufe

Ronald R. Rufe, 86, of Lebanon, passed away in Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon on Friday, September 23rd, 2016. He was born on August 23rd, 1930 in Easton, PA, a son of the late Samuel Jacob and Laura Mae Woodruff Rufe. Ronald was the husband of the late Aurora Rufe who passed away on June 21st, 1999. Mr. Rufe was a retired Elementary School Teacher from Lebanon School District. He served his country in the U.S. Army where he achieved the Occupation and Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Teachers Union and Moravian Church of Lebanon. Surviving are his children: Ronald F. Rufe and Isabel J, wife of Bruce F. Reinhold all of Lebanon; grandchildren: Ashlyn, Ronald F. Jr. and Alexander Rufe; great grandson: Nazier Rufe; sister: Sylvia, wife of Jack Gallop, Easton, PA; brother: Carl Rufe of Easton, PA. Ronald was predeceased by a brother Samuel Rufe. A funeral service will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA, 17042 on Friday, September 30th, 2016 at 11:00AM with a viewing from 10:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Ronald’s memory to the Moravian Church of Lebanon, 1115 Birch Rd, Lebanon, PA, 17042.
