Susan Linda Heagy, 73, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026. She was born March 17, 1953 in Lebanon, a daughter of the late James B. and Ismay (Stickler) Missimer. Susan was a member of the St. Gertrude's Catholic church, now known as St. Cecilia's. She worked as a custodian for many years at various places. After retirement, Susan enjoyed her quiet life at home while doing her favorite things. Her activities included watching horror movies, John Wayne movies, drawing horses, listening to The Beatles and Elvis, and taking care of the cats on her niece's farm. She also loved the quiet beauty of nature and liked to fish and camp.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Mark) Nelson; son, Eric Heagy; and granddaughter, Melina Nelson; her three sisters, Jean (Ronald) Hartman, Elaine Missimer and Shirley Kreiser; her former husband, Michael Heagy; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ismay; and her brothers, Robert, James and John Missimer.
Services are pending at this time and will be announced at the family's convenience.
