Thomas Arthur Hawk was born on December 11, 1946. He grew up in Williamstown, PA, the youngest of three children, and graduated from Williamstown High School. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout while in the Boy Scouts of America. He was part of the first graduating class of Harrisburg Area Community College, graduating with an associate degree in social science. Afterward, he served in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, rising to the rank of technical sergeant. He worked in the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry for 35 years, retiring at age 59 in 2004. He served as scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 443 of Avon Heights, Pennsylvania for seven years. He served as an elected member of both the Lebanon County and Pennsylvania State Republican Committees and was elected as a executive board member of the Lincoln Republican club of Lebanon, PA. He enjoyed taking cruises with his wife Joan in later years and visited over 200 US lighthouses. He passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital of Lebanon, PA on March 20. He is survived by older sister Jo, his wife Joan, his children Eric, Angela, and Thomas, and grandchildren Ava, Benjamin, Gavin, and Logan. A funeral service will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland St, Lebanon, PA, 17042 on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 11:00AM with a viewing from 10:00AM until the time of the service.
