Verna R. Miller

Verna R. Miller, 95, of Lebanon died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in Cedar Haven. She was the wife of the late John D. Miller. She was born in Lebanon County on December 1, 1917, daughter of the late John and Amanda Bicksler. She was a member of Fairland Brethren in Christ Church in Cleona where she formerly was a Sunday School Teacher. Verna was formerly employed by Martin’s Grocery Store currently Boyer’s IGA in Womelsdorf. She was survived by her sons: Edward L. Miller and wife Barbara, Newmanstown; Larry E. Miller and wife Wanda, Lebanon; ten grandchildren; several great & great-great grandchildren; brother: John Bicksler, Camp Hill; daughter-in-law: Betty Miller, Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her son John Miller and daughter Ruth Ann Witman. Family and friends are invited to her memorial service on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the Fairland Brethren in Christ Church, 529 W. Penn Ave., Cleona where a visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will be made in Covenant Greenwood Cemetery, Lebanon. In lieu of flowers contributions in Verna’s name may be made to the children’s ministry at her church. The Rohland Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
